A dream kitchen
Let yourself in through the front door and beyond the entrance hall you’ll find a comfortable dining room that leads you into the tastefully constructed, well-appointed solid oak kitchen. It’s rare for holiday homes to feature such light, spacious kitchens so this is a definite starring attribute. It’s your home-from-home with everything you need to prepare a celebration meal alongside good quality appliances: ceramic hob, electric fan oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washer/dryer.
You’ll find the first bedroom downstairs too. The twin room, right next to the quiet, airy garden, has its own adjoining luxury shower, WC and washbasin – so no bathroom queues in the morning here!
Living room with a view
Head up the stairs and the layout makes complete sense. The sitting room features plenty of seating to sink into and a flatscreen TV with Freeview and DVD. Not that you’ll want to stare at the telly very long when your lofty
The master bedroom is here too and you may not want to leave it, with stunning views across the bay towards Seaton. There’s also an en-suite bathroom with corner bath, WC, washbasin and separate shower cubicle.
Back outside you’ll want to make every possible use of the picnic table seating, situated to maximise the evening sun, for al fresco dining beside the substantial, well-maintained gardens which the guests at Garlands can all enjoy.
Need to know
All linen is provided and towels can be hired for a small fee. There’s private off-road parking, free wifi and your well-behaved dog is very welcome.
Don’t forget – the peaceful retreat of the The Boat Shed is just a stone’s throw from the shops and restaurants of pretty Beer village and a mere 10 minute stroll from the beach and coastal path.
Sleeps 4 in 2 bedrooms. Saturday changeover. Also available for short breaks in low season.
